About
We always embrace food with the emphasis on quality ingredients, indulgent flavours, uncomplicated menus and great service in a ‘feel at home’ surrounding. Relax, enjoy and indulge!
We offer vegetarian options and can serve sandwiches on gluten free bread on request. Our menus change seasonally to make the most of ingredients in season and to serve food that suits the weather. We don't do fast food, we do fresh food as fast as we can.
Our bakery sells a range of whole cakes including chocolate fudge cake and carrot date and walnut cake. Check our website for the full list but, if you have a family favourite that isn’t on the list, or if you want a special celebration cake, just get in touch with our pastry chef to talk to us about exactly what you want and to place an order.

Road Directions
From North/South Leave M1 motorway at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout select left lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit (continuous lane). At traffic lights select middle lane and go straight on. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) take 2nd exit (A619, signposted Chatsworth). Follow A619 for approx 1 mile. Meringue Bakery and Cafe is situated on the left hand side (opposite Maison Mes Amis). From East Follow A617 to M1 motorway junction, then follow route from North/South. From West Follow A619 towards Chesterfield. Pass Highwayman Pub on right. Continue on A619 passing petrol station on left hand side. At traffic lights, go straight on and continue on A619 to roundabout (Morrisons). Take 2nd exit (A619). Follow road for approx 200 yards and at traffic lights, go straight on. Select right hand lane and, at next traffic lights, turn right. Meringue Bakery and Café is on left hand side (opposite Maison Mes Amis).
