About
Starting and finishing at The Smithy Pond, A lovely walk-up hill and down dale taking in open country side, woodlands and water courses around Hardwick wood, bole hill, stubbing court, and Walton woods.
Starting at the Smithy Pond carpark at Wingerworth with a small footpath section then onto the bridle path with views over open fields. We will climb inclines through woodlands before reaching bole hill to enjoy excellent views over Wingerworth and chesterfield.
Following this, we will travel through the rolling country side with open fields and quiet lanes leading to the great pond at Stubbing Court - an outstanding natural beauty.
Finally, on to a challenging loop around Walton woods, returning to the starting point via lanes and footpaths for a well-deserved pint and chat.
Donations will be collected on the day for the Louise Smalley Walk.
