The Plastic Free Festival is returning to Chesterfield for 2023. The festival aims to be the one-stop place to help people to reduce their single-use plastics.
Back for its third year, the Plastic Free Festival returns to Chesterfield for a day of ethically-conscious shopping, creative craft workshops, children’s entertainment, tasty food and drink, and toe tapping live performances.
Discover stunning products from local independent businesses, all without any plastic as well as interactive craft workshops and engaging information stalls.
Enjoy delicious food and drink plus a showcase of talent from local musicians and dancers

Road Directions
The following directions are for the nearest car parks. The Markets are signposted from all town centre car parks. From North/South. Leave M1 at junction 29 and follow A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At traffic light controlled roundabout select left lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit (continuous lane). Select right hand lane and, at traffic lights, keep in right hand lane and go straight on. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan), keep in right hand lane and take 4th exit, turning into Rutland Road. Select right hand lane and at traffic lights at top of hill, turn right. Take 3rd turning on right (Rose Hill East) and car parks are to left (Soresby Street) and right (Rose Hill).
From East. Follow A617 to junction with M1 motorway, then follow route from North/South.
From West. Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan on right) select middle lane and take 2nd exit turning left into Rutland Road. Select right hand lane and at traffic lights at top of hill turn right. Take 3rd right turning (Rose Hill East) and turn into car parks are to left and right.
