About
Ringwood Hall and the former Coach House and Stables are listed Grade 2, and the grounds are locally designated as an historic park and gardens. Sadly, years of neglect by a series of owners resulted in severe damage and dereliction.
Since 1998 work has been undertaken to faithfully restore the gardens and surroundings parkland to its Victorian heritage.
In addition to the 6 acres of formal garden the Victorian kitchen garden and glasshouses have been faithfully restored and are cultivated for a range of produce which is used in the hotel kitchen.
Whilst much has been achieved over the last two decades by the gardening team, headed by Derek Edwards, it is continually work in progress. The gardens now reflect their Victorian heritage with an array of wonderful features to enjoy as we will take you on a stroll gently through this lovely back garden.

Road Directions
From North/South Leave M1 at junction 29 and follow A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At traffic light controlled roundabout select right hand lane and take 4th exit (A61). At traffic light controlled roundabout (Tesco) select right hand lane and take 4th exit (signposted Brimington). At next roundabout (Sainsburys) select right hand lane and take 2nd exit. Follow road and, as approach Brimington shops, select left lane. Stay in left lane passing church on left. Road bends to left. Continue straight on and Ringwood Hall Hotel is down hill on right.
From East Follow A617 to M1 motorway junction, then follow route from North/South.
From West Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Lidl on left) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Stay in left lane and at traffic lights go straight on. Keep to left lane and at roundabout select middle lane and take 2nd exit, turning immediately left into slip road for A61 (signposted Sheffield). At traffic light controlled roundabout (Tesco) select right hand lane and take 4th exit (signposted Brimington), then follow route from North/South.
