About

The barn and the stables is a self-catering accommodation set in a remote and isolated part of the county of derbyshire, outside of chesterfield and near bolsover. Surrounded by countryside and nature. Bordering nottinghamshire and south yorkshire.

The barn - luxurious designer kitchen and dining room and designer bathroom. Laundry room, cosy snug with log burner and beams from the spanish armada. Full width bi-fold doors leading onto private pato with exclusive use of hot tub.

Two fantastic double bedrooms with sleeping for two more in one of the bedrooms. 

Situated over two floors and totally independent within. 

Fully equiped designer kitchen and dining room, coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher, warming drawer, fantastic large island with gas hob.

Separate cloak room with washing machine, sperate tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.

Gorgeous bathroom has freestanding extra large bath and separate walk in shower.

Perfect place to unwind, rewind, relax and chill.  Makes an amazing bridal party place to stay after marrying at several local wedding venues, hazel gap barn at cuckney & the elm tree at elmton.

The stables – is a detached independent house, sharing its courtyard with the barn. Sleeping a further 8 as an annex only to the barn for extended families and guests of bridal parties. 4 double bedrooms, large dining room, study/snug, bathroom, cloaks, kitchen.

Cycling and walking direct from the properties.

Country pub and restaurant within walking, running or cycling distance.

Horse riding nearby.

Fishing and golf nearby.

Hardwick hall, bolsover castle, cresswell craggs all minutes away.

Road Directions

From North (follow brown signs) Leave M1 motorway at junction 29A and take 1st exit off roundabout (Markham Road). At next roundabout take 3rd exit (Markham Lane). Follow road to next roundabout and take 3rd exit (Markham Lane). At next roundabout take 1st exit (B6418). Follow road for approx 2.5 miles and at the crossroads turn right onto Blackbanks. Follow this road for approx 0.5 miles onto Oxcroft Lane, the entrance to The Barn at Oxcroft Farm is immediately on the left.

From South (follow brown signs) Leave M1 motorway at junction 29A and take 3rd exit off roundabout (Markham Road). Follow road under M1 and, at roundabout go straight on. At next roundabout take 3rd exit (Markham Lane), then follow route from North.

From East Follow A617 to junction with M1 motorway. At roundabout take 4th exit (M1 North). Leave M1 at next junction (29A), then follow route from South.

From West Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and, at traffic lights go straight on. At roundabout select middle lane and take 2nd exit (A632). Follow road, going straight on at traffic lights, for about 1 mile and, at traffic lights (Royal Hospital) go straight on. Follow road, going straight on at mini roundabout, for approx 1¼ miles to traffic lights and go straight on. At roundabout take 2nd exit (B6418), then follow route from North.
