About

Enjoy a peaceful walk from Whitwell to Creswell Crags, taking in the beautiful landscapes and learning about the unique history of the area.

The walk will depart Whitwell, passing a mix of housing and industrial buildings before reaching Creswell crags and then walking on the footpath to lovely hamlet of Holbeck. We then cross the fields heading back towards the crags where there are great views over Creswell towards Elmton and Cuckney.

The walk will continue down to the river and lake of the crags where we can make time to take in the impressive and historic surroundings. At the visitors centre there is chance to look at the exhibitions, purchase gifts or make use of the café.

Finally, we will make our way back to Whitwell following footpaths across the fields before walking down hillside with its beautiful view of Whitwell church and the old part of the village. We will finish back at the community centre.

Donations will be collected on the day for the Louise Smalley Walk.
