Join our friendly group for a leisurely walk around the Holme Hall area with frequent stops and time to chat. We will also stop off to look at the progress being made to bring the award-winning Holme Hall Community Garden back to its former glory. After the walk, there will be a chance to stay for a drink and a chat in the community hub if you wish.
This walk will be most suitable for people who want to enjoy walking for the benefit of their health and wellbeing. The walk will be on pavements and footpaths with very few ups and downs. There may be short sections of unmade footpath and barriers to negotiate.

Road Directions
From North/South. Leave M1 at junction 29 and follow A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout select middle lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select right lane and take 2nd exit. Keep to right hand lane and go straight on through traffic lights and round 'Crooked Spire' Church. Select right hand lane. At traffic lights go straight on. Keep to right hand lane as approach large roundabout with car park in middle. Follow signs to Sheffield round the roundabout. At mini roundabout take 1st exit (B6051, Newbold Road). Go straight on at all mini roundabouts. Turn right onto Loundsley Green Road (B6150) and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Linacre Road. Turn left onto Wardgate Way and the left again onto Mercaston Close, the community hub will be on your left.
From East. Take A617 to M1 motorway junction, then follow route from North/South.
From West. Take A619 to Chesterfield. Pass Brookfield Community School on left and, at traffic lights, turn left onto Storrs Road. Follow road to end and, at mini roundabout take 1st exit. Take first right turn (Slack Lane). At roundabout take 2nd exit onto Ashgate Road (B6150). Turn right onto Linacre Road, then after half a mile, turn right onto Wardgate Way, and then left onto Mercaston Close. The community hub will be on your left.
