About
A gentle stroll through the streets, alleyways and paths in the Brampton and Walton area of Chesterfield.
Avoiding main roads where possible, the walk links the parks and green spaces to the west of the town. There are no steep slopes.
Walk grading - leisurely (walks for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience).

Road Directions
North/South Leave M1 motorway at junction 29 and follow A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout select left lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit (continuous lane). At traffic lights select middle lane and go straight on. Keep in left lane and at Matalan roundabout (traffic light controlled) take 2nd exit. At next roundabout (Morrison's) select right hand lane and take 2nd exit (A619). Heaton Street 2nd turn on right (park on Chatsworth Road).
From East Take A617 to M1 motorway junction, then follow route from North/South.
From West Take A619 to Chesterfield. Pass Highwayman Pub on right. Descend hill (road splits into two oncoming lanes and one going down). Continue on A619 to traffic lights and go straight on. Heaton Street first left turn after St Thomas’ Church (park on Chatsworth Road).
