Wednesday 30 June
Take a walk alongside the Chesterfield Canal from Killamarsh to the village of Wales, taking in the closed entrance to the Norwood Tunnel and its old lock flight, a wonder of engineering in its day.
Alternatively, why not visit Chesterfield Museum’s offsite store to discover some of the larger items which have never been displayed, and find out how the Museum looks after the items in its care.
Take a walk alongside Holme Brook with the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and find out about natural flood management.
Take an afternoon stroll around Chesterfield town centre to look at buildings from the 1930s, which are generally overlooked.
Enjoy the beautiful Chesterfield landscape and discover new walks and tours on the fifth day of the Walking Festival.
