Restoration Walk

About

The Chesterfield Canal stretches for 46 miles from West Stockwith on the River Trent to Chesterfield. In 1989, the last 20 of these miles between Worksop and Chesterfield were unnavigable. Since then, 12 miles have been restored along with 37 locks, 11 bridges and 2 marinas.

This walk will take you along the final unrestored section through Renishaw, Killamarsh, Norwood and Kiveton and you will learn how this amazing project will be completed.

This walk begins in Stavely Town Basin and ends at Kiveton Park Station. After booking, please ring 01246 477569 if you would like to arrange to leave cars at the finish.
