About
Join Chesterfield Borough Council’s weekly Walk With Us group, based at Hunloke Community Garden, for a chance to enjoy this hidden gem and its surrounding area in the company of a friendly, sociable group.
We will take a 30-60 min stroll around the Birdholme area which will be suitable for beginners. Refreshments will be available in the garden afterwards and a chance to buy fresh produce from the garden.

Road Directions
From North/South - Leave M1 motorway at junction 29 and follow A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At 1st roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit (A61, signposted Derby). Go straight on at traffic lights (McDonald's), and straight on again at next traffic lights (Ponderosa). Turn right (brown signpost for the Garden) on to Church Street South. Turn left into the Hunloke Centre car park. Entrance to the Community Garden is in the far corner. From East - Follow the A617 to Chesterfield then follow route from North/South. From West - Follow A619 (Chatsworth Road) to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select left lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and, at traffic lights, go straight on. Where road becomes dual carriageway, select right hand lane and, at roundabout take 3rd exit (A61, signposted Derby). Follow directions as North/South.
