About
The ancient custom of Well Dressing is only found in and around the borders of Derbyshire and is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made from natural materials. The board is filled with clay and 'coloured in' using petals, berries, seeds... Harthill dresses one well.

Road Directions
From North/South Leave M1 at junction 31 take A57 (signposted Worksop). At traffic lights (Red Lion Pub on right) turn right through Todwick. Follow road to T junction and turn left then immediately right (Hard Lane). Follow road which becomes Union Street and pass All Hallows Church. Continue to follow road for just over ¼ mile to junction with Doctor Lane
From East Follow A57 from Worksop. At traffic lights (Red Lion Pub on left) turn left through Todwick. Follow road to T junction and turn left then immediately right (Hard Lane), then follow route from North/South.
From West Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and go straight on at traffic lights. Select right hand lane and at roundabout take 3rd exit. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled) select left lane and take 2nd exit (A617). Follow road for approx. 4 miles. Select left lane and at roundabout take 1st exit (M1 North). Leave M1 at junction 31 and follow route from North/South.
