Glapwell Adventure Cycle Frestival


Come and join Bolsover and District Cycling club for a day of rides. Try the new mountain bike trail at our Glapwell countryside site and then explore further with guided rides along the trails.

Bring your bike for a free cycle safety check and Bolsover Extreme Wheels crew will be there, so if you don’t have a bike, you can try one of theirs.

Local cycle shops will join us, so you can see all the latest kit and caboodle.

Meet at Stockley Trail car park, Stockley Lane, off The Hill at Glapwell (behind Plug and Feathers pub). S44 5NA

Road Directions

From North/South Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A617 towards Mansfield. Follow road for just under a mile and turn left (Stockley Lane) at the Plug and Feathers pub.

From East Follow A617 through Mansfield (follow signs for Chesterfield). At traffic lights (Rutland Arms), go straight on. At next traffic lights (Industrial Estate), go straight on. At next traffic lights (new housing estate) go straight on. At next traffic lights go straight on (dual carriageway). At roundabout take 2nd exit (A617). Follow road for just under 2½ miles, passing Young Vanish pub on right, and turning right off The Hill at the Plug and Feathers pub (Stockley Lane).

From West Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and at traffic lights go straight on. Select right hand lane and at next roundabout take 3rd exit. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled) select left lane and take 2nd exit (A617). In approx 4 miles reach M1 motorway roundabout and follow route from North/South.
