Path under an old railway bridge with trees growing either side

About

Starting from Hollingwood Hub we follow the canal towpath, also known as the Cuckoo Way and part of the Trans Pennine Trail, to Staveley Canal Basin. Then we pick up the former railway line and continue to follow the Trans Pennine Trail until turning off to Poolsbrook Country Park. Here we take a coffee break using the cafe and toilet facilities.

Those wishing to go the extra mile can join me for a walkaround the lake returning to collect anyone enjoying an extended break before retracing our steps.

We turn off the trail to walk past Staveley Church picking up a path down to the canal crossing the bridge to return to Hollingwood Hub.

Anyone in need of further refreshment can enjoy the excellent cafe at the Hub before returning home.
