About

Explore one of Chesterfield Museum’s offsite stores which houses some of the larger items from the Museum’s collection that would be difficult to display in the Museum itself. This includes a Donkey Engine from Markham’s, an industrial vacuum cleaner from Donkins and a pottery wheel from Pearson’s. A new arrival came to the store this summer - come along and be one of the first ones to see it.

The Museum tells the story of Chesterfield through its collection. An important part of its role is to care for the objects for future generations to enjoy. This walk explores how the museum looks after the town’s collection.

Walk grading - easy (walks for anyone who does not have a mobility difficulty or specific health problem, or is seriously unfit).
