Easter holidays | Included with your admission

A collection of spring-themed willow and wicker animal sculptures have been made specially for the garden this Easter. They are hidden in various locations – there's a free explorer's map to help you find them.

Trails start from the garden entrances.

Face painting

Weekends and Easter weekend | Included with your admission

Free face painting for children in Flora's Temple.

Face painting is available at Easter holiday weekends and at Easter weekend:
•24 and 25 March
•30 March - 2 April
•7 and 8 April

Horse and dray rides

Easter holidays | Adults £2, children £1

Relax and take a shire horse and dray ride along the Broad Walk.

Musical entertainment

Easter weekend | Included with your admission

Enjoy the nostalgic sound of Patrick Cook's barrel organ while you enjoy your day out.

Bumblebee crafts and activities

Easter weekend | Included with your admission | 11am - 4pm

Join us for a few fun bumblebee activities with the Bumblebee Conservation in the Stickyard.

All aboard the Easter Eggspress!

Will you see the Easter bunny? Keep a look out for our furry friend, who may suddenly make an appearance and surprise you.

These tractor trailer rides are first come, first served.

Easter egg hunts

Easter weekend | Free timed tickets | 11.30am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm*

Join the hunt for hidden mini foiled chocolate eggs – maybe you'll find a golden egg to swap for a bigger one!

Easter egg hunt tickets are included with your admission to the farmyard and playground. Timed tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis and given out when you arrive at the entrance to the farmyard and playground.

*Please note that the Easter egg hunts are subject to change if the weather and ground conditions are unsuitable.

Road Directions

Chatsworth is 8 miles north of Matlock off the B6012. From M1 take A617 to Chesterfield. From Chesterfield follow signs for Chatsworth A619. Continue for 8 miles through the village of Baslow. Pass Cavendish Hotel on left, at roundabout, take 1st exit signed Chatsworth. Follow road for approx 1½ miles to Chatsworth Estate. Cross cattle grid and take next left to Chatsworth House.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest railway station is Chesterfield, which is 10 miles away.
