Fredericks Gelateria and Café
The cafe offers visitors to Queen's Park an extensive range of hot and cold snacks including a selection of hot soups, jacket potatoes, delicious rustic baguettes and wraps and an assortment of freshly prepared salads. A wide selection of authentic Italian coffees and teas, as well as wines, spirits and speciality beers are also available.
The Gelateria sells 19 sumptuous flavours of Frederick's award-winning ice cream, including pomegranate and raspberry icecream.
All their food is home cooked and freshly prepared with local produce.
Queen's Park was opened in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. As well as Fredericks, enjoy a boating lake and miniature railway, as well as playing facilities for younger visitors. There is also a bandstand - sit and listen to a local brass band playing on some Sunday afternoons during the summer.

Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout, select middle lane and take 2nd exit. At next roundabout select left lane and take 1st exit. At traffic lights select middle lane and go straight on. At traffic light controlled roundabout (B&Q) stay in left lane and take 1st exit (Boythorpe Road). Park is on left, just below Queen's Park Sports Centre. There is a car park both below and above Sports Centre.
Follow A617 to M1 motorway junction. Take 3rd exit (A617) to Chesterfield then follow route from North/South.
Follow A619 into Chesterfield. At roundabout (Morrison's) take 2nd exit. At traffic light controlled roundabout (B&Q) select right hand lane and take 4th exit (Boythorpe Road). Park is on left, just below Queen's Park Sports Centre. There is a car park both below and above Sports Centre.
