Clay Cross Countryside Centre is the home of Derbyshire County Council's Countryside Service staff and volunteers who work to manage countryside sites and trails in North East Derbyshire and Bolsover.

From North/South
Leave M1 at junction 29. Take A6175 and follow into Clay Cross (approx 3½ miles). Countryside Centre and car park on left before T-junction.

From East
Follow A617 towards Chesterfield. At junction with M1 motorway take 2nd exit (A6175) then follow route from North/South.

From West
Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. At traffic lights go straight on. When carriageway divides, select right hand lane and, at roundabout take 3rd exit. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled) select right hand lane and take 3rd exit (A61). Follow A61 into Clay Cross (approx 4 miles). Turn left opposite Post Office (Eyre Street). At end of road go straight on into car park.
