Stainsby is a well-established, intimate, festival in a beautiful rural setting - a three day music and arts festival on a green field site overlooking Hardwick Hall. Featuring folk and world music, original singer/songwriter material, theatre, film, poetry, children’s events, craft stalls, philosophy walks, performer’s competition and a real ale bar featuring Derbyshire micro breweries. There’s something for everyone at this family friendly festival - a not–for-profit event run entirely by unpaid volunteers.
Fully licensed real ale bar, The Hat Block, featuring a special Stainsby Festival brew and at least 20 other real ales, all sourced locally.
Overnight camping is available on site.

Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A6175 (signposted Clay Cross). Take 1st left turn (signposted Stainsby & Hardwick Hall). Follow road alongside M1 for approx 1 mile then take 1st right at sharp left hand bend (signposted Stainsby). Follow road into village.
Follow A617 to motorway (M1) roundabout and take 2nd exit (A6175, singposted Clay Cross), then follow route from North/South.
Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Lidl on left) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and, at traffic lights, go straight on. When carriageway divides, select right hand lane and, at next roundabout, take 3rd exit. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled) select left lane and take 2nd exit (A617). Follow road to M1 motorway junction (approx 4 miles). At roundabout take 5th exit (A6175) towards Clay Cross, then follow route from North/South.
