An easy walk on Bolsover edge with stunning views and no stiles. Walking on footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes, we’ll discover Palterton and Scarcliffe before returning via Hillstown and along the edge to Glapwell.

Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A617 towards Mansfield. Follow road for approx 2 miles to Glapwell.
Follow A617 through Mansfield (follow signs for Chesterfield). At traffic lights (Rutland Arms), go straight on. At next traffic lights (Industrial Estate), go straight on. At next traffic lights (new housing estate) go straight on. At next traffic lights go straight on (dual carriageway). At roundabout take 2nd exit (A617). Follow road for approx 1½ miles to Glapwell.
Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Lidl on left) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and at traffic lights go straight on. When carriageway divides select right hand lane and at next roundabout take 3rd exit. At next roundabout (traffic light controlled) select left lane and take 2nd exit (A617). In approx 4 miles reach M1 motorway roundabout. Take 3rd exit (A617 signposted Mansfield). Follow road for approx 2 miles to Glapwell.
