Winner of 2015 Garden of the year award from HHA & Christies:-

Renishaw Hall and Gardens have been home to the Sitwell family for 400 years. Its present owner, Alexandra, welcomes you to visit her home.

Renishaw Hall Gardens are Italian in design and were laid out over 100 years ago by Sir George Sitwell. The garden is divided into 'rooms' with yew hedges, flanked with classical statues. These 'rooms' have been filled with an impressive collection of plants. The garden is set in acres of parkland with lakeside and nature walks alongside English herbaceous borders and ornamental ponds. Throughout the year are spectacular displays of flowers and plants. Kids will love the Children's Fairytale Garden.

The Vineyard at Renishaw was established in 1972 so in 2012 celebrates its 40th year! It's one of the most northerly vineyards in England. The vineyard is nurtured throughout the year and the grapes are used to make the still and sparkling wine which is sold in the shop. You can book vineyard tour and tastings, call 01246 432310 for more information.

In the Stable Block is the Sitwell Museum which houses the incredible collection from the 'Sitwell Trio' - Edith, Osbert and Sacheverell. There is also the exhibition space with the history of the garden over the last 400 years and - new for 2012 and the Jubilee Year - is the 'Royalty and Renishaw' exhibition, charting the history of the Sitwells and the Royal Family over generations. Opens May 2012. You can also enjoy a meal, glass of Renishaw wine or coffee and a cake in the Gallery Café and courtyard, and find some great gifts in the Renishaw Hall shop and plant sales.

Renishaw Hall is still very much a family home which adds to its unique atmosphere. A tour of the Hall will allow you to see some of the spectacular collections of art and furniture that have been acquired by generations of Sitwells. It is quite literally a treasure trove, of inestimable value to students and art lovers alike.

The Hall is available for hire as a film location, for weddings, conferences and is open for guided tours. Booking is essential.
