A visit to Poole's Cavern and Buxton Country Park is an experience not to be missed and is a perfect complement to an outside attraction in the Peak District for a full day out. We are just on the edge of Buxton with easy walking to the historic centre, park, shops and restaurants.
We are also a perfect base for starting or ending a walking tour with car and free coach parking available.
We have good facilities and excellent access for all ages and abilities. The cavern has just 28 steps with no more than 10 in one section, handrails, paved walkways and state of the art lighting throughout.
We can provide group catering at the Poole's Cavern cafe with daily homemade specials with locally sourced produce and picnic lunches on request.

Poole's Cavern is a 20 minute walk from Buxton Railway Station and Bus Station. From the Crescent and Tourist Information Centre follow Broad Walk and Temple Road to Green Lane and The Cavern.
By road follow the brown tourist signs from A6, A515 or A53 to Green Lane. Pay and display car park for 80 vehicles priced at £1.50 for 4 hours, or £3.00 all day. Level access to visitor centre.
There is no public transport bus route direct to Poole's Cavern.
