Details

Chesterfield Theatres is delighted to announce the first Summer Play Season presented by Paul Taylor-Mills and his repertory company. Paul is considered to be one of the most exciting young directors and producers in England today. He has recently been appointed as the Artistic Director of Andrew Lloyd’s Webber’s new London theatre, The Other Palace. His producing credits include the acclaimed London premieres of In the Heights and Carrie: The Musical at Southwark Playhouse. In the Heights, won three Olivier Awards and ran for two years, whilst Carrie: The Musical won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off West End Production. Other recent productions include End of the Rainbow (UK Tour), Casa Valentina (Southwark Playhouse), Altar Boyz (Greenwich Theatre) and the first London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Beautiful Game (Union Theatre).

Robert and Stella learn that their son has been kidnapped - not for ransom, but to force them to allow one of the kidnappers to remain in their house. Two other men, supposedly police officers, arrive and reveal that one of the kidnappers has been murdered. Soon, however, it is clear that these two are far from what they seem. A highly exciting thriller, first seen at the West End Savoy Theatre in 1982 with Gerald Harper and Susan Hampshire.
