Located above the pretty village of Barlow, five miles west of Chesterfield, "Cruck Barn Cottage" has been lovingly renovated and offers cosy and luxurious accommodation for couples.

Unwind in peace and tranquillity in the midst of spectacular rural countryside. Spend days out walking the Edges or wander around local market towns and picturesque villages. Road Directions

The Postcode for Cruck Barn Cottage is S18 7SE but we advise against the use of SatNav systems for getting to the barn. Please use the instructions on this page instead:- From the M1 Motorway (Distance to the Cottage 12 miles - than 20 minutes) Leave the Motorway at Junction 29 then take the A617 to Chesterfield. In Chesterfield follow signs for “Town Centre” (you will pass the Crooked Spire Church which will be on your left) After the church, at the next roundabout keep in the right hand lane. Take the second exit off the roundabout signed “Sheffield” and immediately bear left signed “Barlow” (B6051). Carry straight on for about 4 miles. Keep following the “Barlow” signs. When you reach the village of Barlow you will see, almost immediately, a pub on the left called “The Peacock”. Turn left at The Peacock. This small road climbs up out of Barlow for about one and a half miles. At a fork in the road, keep left. “Cruck Barn Cottage” is on the left side about half a mile further on. Pull off the road onto the gravel parking space. The keys will be next door at High Ashes Farm. (Caution: in the village of Cutthorpe between Chesterfield and Barlow is a left turn for Baslow – easily read as Barlow) From the West and North West (From the village of Baslow, Cruck Barn Cottage is 6 miles - about 10 minutes). Take the A619 from Baslow in the direction of Chesterfield. After 2 miles fork left at the “Robin Hood” pub (B6050). Follow this road for a further one and a half miles and turn left at a sign for “Cutthorpe”. Drive for a further one and a half miles until you see a road sign indicating a bend and a left turn. Do not take this left turn, but immediately after it is a second turn onto a steep lane. This is Grange Lane. “Cruck Barn Cottage” is half a mile down this lane on the right. Pull off the road onto the gravel parking space.
