This trail runs from Rother Valley Country Park to Chesterfield and incorporates the ‘Cuckoo Way’ (the Chesterfield Canal Towpath) as an alternative route.
This trail uses old railway lines previously used by the coal industry (none of which remains today) and links with the Phoenix Greenway network including the Stockley Trail, Rowthorne Trail and others.
The greenways are a network of easy access off-road trails and quiet lanes. Once old railways and collieries, the trails are rising like a Phoenix from the ashes of industry.
This links Chesterfield town centre with SomersallPark to the west. It includes sections along quiet roads as well as sections through Queen’s Park and Walton Dam.
This trail links the town centre with HolmebrookValleyPark but can continue to Cutthorpe and Linacre Reservoirs.
