Walk 1 Baslow to Bakewell via Chatsworth
A fairly easy walk through three classic English landscapes with fine views of Chatsworth that can't be seen from the road. Distance 5 miles (8 Km) with a shorter option of 3½ miles (5 Km), time 2-3 hours.
Walk 2 Robin Hood Inn Circular
A fairly easy circular walk with fine views, passing through woodland filled with moss-covered rocks. Distance 4 miles (6½ Km), time 2½ hours.
Walk 3 Wardlow Mires to Monsal Head via Cressbrook Dale
A generally easy walk through peaceful dales and woods, passing through the historic mill village of Cressbrook, crossing the Monsal Viaduct and finishing after a steep path up to Monsal Head. Distance 3.7 miles (6 Km), time 2-3 hours.
Walk 4 Matlock to Winster
Largely following The Limestone Way, including ancient lanes and through a landscape apparently unchanged for years. It starts with a long ascent, but is worth it for the splendid, far-reaching views across the surrounding dales. Time 3 hours.
Walk 5 Middleton to Bakewell via Bradford and Lathkill Dale
A generally easy walk through the tranquil and lovely Bradford and Lathkill Dales, with plenty of paddling spots, then through the village of Over Haddon and descending over fields to Bakewell. Distance 6 miles (9.5 km), time about 3 hours.
Walk 6 Baslow Circular via Froggatt Edge
an easily accesible and varied walk, starting with a long and sometimes steep ascent to the moors, then along Curbar and Froggatt Edges, descending through woodland and along the tranquil River Derwent back to Baslow. Distance 6½ miles (10km), about 3 hours.
